CDL 2021 Major 1 - Day 5 Preview

Tonight the first Major of the 2021 Call of Duty season concludes. With just three teams left, we give our preview on the Winners Finals matchup.

Dallas Empire (1.94) vs Atlanta FaZe (1.72)

Dallas Empire are coming off the back of a victory over now eliminated, OpTic Chicago. This was not an easy game however, and it came down to a game five round 11 victory for the Empire. They’ll need to play at a higher pace, and with more consistency against FaZe.

FaZe are yet to lose a game in the 2021 CDL season. This comes down to their extremely smart mid game plays, and their overall individual talent. While they also had a close call against OpTic earlier in the season, they looked more dominant. We expect their flawless run to continue, and for them to book their spot in the Grand Finals.

Tonight begins with the Winners Finals. Following this, the loser of FaZe vs Dallas will play New York in the Losers Finals. The winner of this matchup will then face off against the winner of the earlier, FaZe vs Dallas match.

The final day of the first CDL Major of the year begins at 8PM GMT tonight.
