CDL 2021 Stage 2 Week 1 - Day 2 Preview

Charlie Cater

Tonight the Call of Duty League action continues with two more matches in Stage 2 at the Toronto Ultra Home Series. Here’s the odds and our preview of the games.

Toronto Ultra (2.02) vs LA Thieves (1.65)

The hosts Toronto Ultra start their event against a wounded LA Thieves. Toronto looked strong in the Major, however they did struggle against the Royal Ravens in their first match. Their roster change sees them bring in Insight, a European youngster looking to make his mark. In scrims he’s looked good, and we can see them going the distance in this series.

After their 3-0 loss to LA rivals, LA Guerrillas. The LA Thieves won't be feeling too good following the Major. They didn't look sharp at all, and they'll need to bounce back. However, we can see this game going the distance, with both teams looking Top 6 quality at the moment.

Minnesota Rokkr (1.62) vs Paris Legion (2.08)

Minnesota Rokkr lost 3-2 to Toronto Ultra in the Major, seeing them go out in their first match. Their Hardpoint needs to improve, only 2-7 right now, they have the worst record in the league. They need to play faster, and improve this if they’re to win more series.

Paris Legion looks good. They seem to channel the underdog energy and look to take down the big teams. This match is a great opportunity for them, they can definitely take both Hardpoints. However, the SnD and Control is where they’;ll need to show up, otherwise this looks like a Minnesota 3-2 win.

Day 2 of the Toronto Ultra Home Series kicks off tonight at 7PM GMT.
