Tonight the 2021 Call of Duty League season kicks off with two matches. Here’s the odds, and our preview of the games.
Minnesota Rokkr performed extremely well in their Kickoff Classic match, especially in Search and Destroy. MajorManiak’s 2.18 K/D in SnD in their matchup pulled them through, and secured the win. While they lost both Hardpoints, Minnesota looked strong and cannot be underestimated this season.
The Los Angeles Thieves were dominated by OpTic Chicago, however this may be good for them. The Kickoff Classic meant nothing for the normal season, so this gives the Thieves a chance to recoup and think of a new strategy for the season. With a roster full of talent, the Thieves have a great chance at taking this matchup and bouncing back for thiet Kickoff loss.
This match is set up to be one of the most important in Stage 1. We expect Minnesota to win the Search and Destroys (1.70 Map 2 ML), so an LA Thieves win would rely on them taking both Hardpoints and the Control.
Seattle Surge had a disappointing performance in the Kickoff Classic, and that doesn't look good for the regular season. While the Seattle Surge roster has the talent, their SMG players seem to lack behind the rest of the league.
Dallas Empire were clinical in the Kickoff Classic, and show no signs of slowing down. They look like one of the best teams in the game once again, and this matchup looks like nothing less than a 3-0. At 2.00 for Dallas Empire -2.5, this seems like the best bet for most. However, with such huge odds, you could bet on the upset.
Day One of the Call of Duty League Atlanta Home Series kicks off at 8PM GMT on Thursday Feb. 9. You can watch on the Call of Duty League YouTube Channel.
