CDL Champs - Day 2 Preview

Charlie Cater

The 2021 Call of Duty Champs continues today with some more incredible matches. Kicking it off are two teams that have battled back and forth all season, so here’s our preview of Champs Day 2.

Toronto Ultra (1.70) vs Dallas Empire (2.04)

Toronto Ultra were victims of the biggest and most insane comeback in Call of Duty history. After leading 4-0 to lose 4-5, Ultra will need to rebound here at Champs. While it may put a lot of pressure on them, Toronto have been incredible all season, and that Major 5 final may have been the perfect motivation.

Dallas Empire looked incredible in their victory over Minnesota ROKKR, as they 3-0 swept the Major 5 Champions. However, a 2-4 record against Toronto this season sees them historically leave the series defeated. Shotzzy needs to continue his MVP form in this series.

Atlanta FaZe (1.24) vs New York Subliners (3.60)

Atlanta FaZe have been the best team in the game since the beginning, and they’ll be looking for a rebound at Champs following their poor Major 5 performance. However, we seem to be seeing a repeat of last year, where FaZe fell off at the last event and Champs. They have the talent, but do they have the mental?

The New York Subliners will have incredible momentum heading into this match, and having the best record against FaZe out of any team in the League, they have a real chance at winning this match. The high odds on NYSL are definitely worth a shot.
