Tonight, the Call of Duty League season comes to an end with the Championship Grand Final. The two best teams from the whole season rightly go face to face in a match worth over $600,000. Here’s the odds, and our preview.
Atlanta FaZe have been a thorn in the side of Toronto Ultra all year, with a 6-1 match record against the European roster. Toronto’s only win came in the Major 2 Grand Final, where they defeated Atlanta FaZe 5-3 in a thrilling matchup.
When it comes to specific modes, Hardpoint has been dominant for FaZe. An impressive 5-0 record on Garrison Hardpoint vs Toronto, this could be a tough match for them, and therefore they’ll be looking for it early in the series.
In Search and Destroy, Ultra have historically come out on top. A fairly even split of 6-5 sees Toronto slightly take advantage, but any advantage is massive against FaZe.
Finally, Control has been a clash of the titans, with the two best Control teams in the game going up against each other. A 5-3 record for FaZe may give them a false sense of security, as their last match was at the Stage 4 Major, and Ultra have improved.
The Call of Duty League 2021 Championship Grand Finals get underway at 8pm BST tonight. For us, we have to back the Europeans of Toronto Ultra. Their teamwork is too strong, and they won't want a repeat of the Major 5 Final.
