CDL Stage 2 Major - Day 1 Preview

Charlie Cater

The second Major of the year kicks off today with Losers Round 1 matchups, here’s the odds and our preview of the action.

LA Thieves (2.18) vs Paris Legion (1.56)

LA Thieves are currently 2-7 following their 4-0 start to the season, and something needs to change. While their most recent loss came after Kenny unfortunately had to pull out due to medical reasons, the Thieves looked lost. They can win this game, but they need to give it everything, and they may rely on individual brilliance to pull them through. The Thieves new look with Drazah replacing Slasher may help them, as their playstyle will be hard to counter in this match.

Paris Legion took down the Florida Mutineers in their most recent game, however they've been inconsistent this year. Fire needs to step up and show he’s got what it takes, if he can dominate, Paris can take the series.

Florida Mutineers (1.63) vs Los Angeles Guerrillas (2.06)

This will be a tough match for the Mutineers. Florida have suffered so far this season, and their inconsistency has cost them games. Owakening has been dominating in every match, but his AR duo Skyz needs to take control to win this series.

The Los Angeles Guerrillas however have been dominating recently, especially Silly. Silly has been a force to be reckoned with during Stage 2, and the World Champion has dominated matches. This game should be in the hands of the Guerrillas, and could be dominant if they continue their form from Week 3.
