CDL Stage 3 Week 2 - Day 3 Preview

Charlie Cater

Stage 3 has provided some great games already, and three more take place tonight. Here’s the odds, and our preview of tonight's matches.

Atlanta FaZe (1.06) vs London Royal Ravens (6.40)

Atlanta FaZe were ruthless in a 3-0 win vs the LA Thieves. This dominance was reminiscent of their 11 game win streak earlier in the season, and FaZe looked back to their best. This will be an extremely tough game for the Ravens, and should be comfortable for FaZe.

London Royal Ravens took a 3-2 victory over the New York Subliners on Thursday. They looked great in Search and Destroy, and their Checkmate Control was excellent as usual, however, their Hardpoint doesn't look great at all. If London are to win this, they’ll need both SnD’s and the Control.

Dallas Empire (1.27) vs Los Angeles Guerrillas (3.20)

Dallas Empire will need to rebound after a 3-0 loss to Toronto Ultra in their first match with FeLo. This match is all about the AR battle. Chino and Assault dominated in LAG’s first match, so Crimsix and FeLo need to step up.

As mentioned, Chino and Assault dominated with their ARs against Paris Legion, and they need to do this again. However, against a storing squad of Dallas Empire, this will be hard. Empire are favoured, but not clear cut winners.

New York Subliners (1.34) vs Seattle Surge (2.86)

After a 3-2 loss to London, the Subliners will need to make a statement. Their Hardpoint looked clinical, and Hydra dominated, however there were a few slip ups that cost them the game. Hydra is a major part in this series, going up against Prestinni, he needs to outperform him for the win.

For Seattle Surge, Search and Destroy is the win condition here. Prestinni has been great in SnD recently, and a new look New York roster have struggled. While we dont expect them to take a Hardpoint, both SnD’s and the Control is a great way to win this series.
