CDL Stage 3 Week 2 - Day 4 Preview

Charlie Cater

Week 2 of Stage 3 has brought us more action than ever, with some incredible games. Well tonight features three more, so here's the odds and our preview of tonight's matches.

Florida Mutineers (1.40) vs Paris Legion (2.62)

The Florida Mutineers have looked much improved in Stage 3, taking down Minnesota ROKKR in Week 1. However, Owakening has now moved, and is playing on Fibre internet. This is a great improvement for him, and may be the push the Mutineers needed.

Paris Legion managed to take a map off of Minnesota ROKKR, but they were dominated in maps 2,3 and 4. Their pacing looks off, and the team is struggling. This could be an easy 3-0 for Florida.

Toronto Ultra (1.43) vs Minnesota ROKKR (2.52)

Toronto Ultra are yet to drop a Map in Stage 3. The squad look great, and their teamwork is unparalleled. Ultra could be looking for another 3-0 here, however we’d stick to a -1.5 handicap, as ROKKR could take a map.

Minnesota ROKKR have looked excellent since the addition of Standy, and he showed his ability against Paris on Friday. The SMG battle wins this match, Standy needs to outperform CleanX. At this point in time, that looks nearly impossible.

OpTic Chicago (1.27) vs LA Thieves (3.25)

OpTic Chicago are on a run that is worrying for the test of the League. They look confident and in the zone, and this could get them in the Championship form they need to be in. OpTic could dominate this match, as LA Thieves favourite map, Checkmate, happens to be theirs too.

LA Thieves have looked strong and consistent during Stage 3 so far, but this is an extremely hard game. They took Atlanta FaZe to a game five, but couldn't clutch up in the end. OpTic will not want to let this happen, and this should be theirs for the taking.
