CDL Stage 3 Week 3 - Day 4 Preview

Charlie Cater

Seattle Surge (1.69) vs London Royal Ravens (1.98)

Seattle Surge looked great in Decemate’s debut match against Atlanta FaZe. Their Apocalypse Hardpoint victory was expected, given their positive record. But the dominant nature of it was surprising, and Surge looked excellent.

London Royal Ravens seem to be improving every single match, and this is set up to be an exceptional game. The main battle in this game will be between the SMGs. Zaptius and Zed need to shut down Prestinni and Decemate if they’re to win this match.

Atlanta FaZe (1.37) vs OpTic Chicago (2.70)

Atlanta FaZe’s Search and Destroy looked greatly improved against Seattle Surge, as they won Checkmate 6-4, extending their record to 4-0 on the map. While they were defeated on Apocalypse Hardpoint, this is a weak map for OpTic too, so we may see it in the series.

OpTic Chicago looked completely lost in their 3-1 defeat to the New York Subliners. This was shocking to many fans, and not many people can figure out what is going wrong for them. Their fundamentals seem to be non-existent, and their Hardpoint has been especially weak recently. This match may go the distance.

Dallas Empire (1.75) vs Minnesota ROKKR (1.90)

In what is starting to become the El Classico of COD, Dallas Empire face off against Minnesota ROKKR for the fourth time this season. Following their 3-0 loss to the Mutineers, Dallas will need to bounce back in this game. But ROKKR have historically come out on top.

Minnesota ROKKR clutched up in a 3-2 win over the LA Guerrillas. However, this was a match full of mistakes for Minnesota, and they’ll need to fix up their gameplay before this game. Regardless, Attach and Standy were dominating on the SMGs yet again, and this is the way they can win this match.
