CDL Stage 4 Major - Day 3 Preview

Charlie Cater

The Call of Duty League’s first LAN Major in over a year has brought some excellent games so far. With five matches tonight, here’s the odds and our preview.

Florida Mutineers (1.40) vs New York Subliners (2.62)

The Florida Mutineers took down the LA Guerrillas last night in a quick and easy 3-0. Owakening performed like the beast we expected him to on LAN, while one major improvement seemed to be in Neptune. The Mutineers looked great, and could make a run at this major.

New York also had a match that resulted in a 3-0. However, this one was unfortunately a loss at the hands of Minnesota ROKKR. New York looked competitive, but disjointed, and we expect Florida to take advantage here and move on at the Major.

OpTic Chicago (1.42) vs Seattle Surge (2.52)

Yet another victim for a 3-0 defeat, OpTic Chicago are coming off the back of a loss to the Dallas Empire. After all their talk about returning to LAN throughout the season, OpTic have to show up here and they have to get a result.

Seattle Surge have all the momentum in the world following a 3-1 and 3-0 win. Facing off against OpTic won't be a scary match for them either, as they won 3-1 last time they played. While Seattle are on a run, OpTic need a result here, and we expect them to get one.

Atlanta FaZe (1.30) vs Toronto Ultra (3.05)

Atlanta FaZe looked dominant last night as they closed out a 3-0 win over Minnesota ROKKR. Their Search and Destroy looked shaky, but their respawns were great and they looked composed on the main stage.

Toronto Ultra also won their match, securing a 3-2 win over Dallas Empire. While it wasn't as clean as FaZe’s win, it did include a 246-169 comeback, showing that it’s never over for the Ultra. This will be a very close match, however FaZe might just be too much on LAN.
