CDL Stage 4 Week 1 - Day 4 Preview

Charlie Cater

Tonight concludes Week 1 of Stage 4. With some incredible matches already in the books, here’s the odds and our preview of tonight's three games.

Florida Mutineers (1.47) vs London Royal Ravens (2.38)

The Florida Mutineers surprised everyone when they took down Toronto Ultra 3-2. This match saw them clutch up in game five to take home the win, and shock the community. The Mutineers looked great, however they’re known for their inconsistency, so we don't know what to expect.

While the new look London Royal Ravens fell 3-2 to Dallas Empire, they looked solid. Afro and Alexx performed well in their debut as an SMG duo, and fans will be pleased to see this success. The Ravens look great, and when they have momentum, they're hard to stop.

Toronto Ultra (1.35) vs Dallas Empire (2.80)

Toronto Ultra will be looking to bounce back in this matchup, and redeem themselves after their loss to Florida. Their teamwork was off, and they were solo pushing and getting picked. This is something that needs to stop against the Empire, as they look to return to their best.

Dallas Empire defeated the London Royal Ravens 3-2 in a dominant game five. Taking both Search and Destroy maps shows that Vivid has made an instant impact to the team, however his respawn suffered. Overall, the whole squad were outslayed in respawn, and they'll need to be more dominant in this match.

Atlanta FaZe (1.36) vs OpTic Chicago (2.76)

Atlanta FaZe took down Paris Legion 3-1. While this was overall a dominant series, they were obliterated on Standoff SnD, and will likely want to leave it out of the map set against OpTic. However, this gives OpTic a great opening in the series.

OpTic Chicago looked dominant as they continued their excellent form following the Stage 3 Major. Their respawns looked great, however it’s the SnD that wins this series. With FaZe likely banning Standoff, OpTic have a great chance to pick one of their favourite maps here, so they need to win.
