CDL Stage 5 Week 1 - Day 1 Preview

Charlie Cater

The Call of Duty League returns for the final stage of the season tonight. With two incredible matches to kick off the weekend, here’s the odds, and our preview.

Atlanta FaZe (1.02) vs London Royal Ravens (10.00)

Atlanta FaZe are the team to beat in Stage 5, and are without a doubt favourites to win the Major. Their recent performances have been their best so far throughout the season, however as we return to Online, they’ll need to keep the same intensity they did on LAN.

The London Royal Ravens have had a tough season, and will need to perform at their very best during Stage 5 if they want any chance of qualifying for Champs. While unlikely, there is an opportunity for London to compete here. Previously, they’ve managed to take a Control against FaZe, and that will be the critical game mode for this match.

OpTic Chicago (1.25) vs Paris Legion (3.60)

OpTic Chicago struggled slightly on their return to LAN as they were unable to get past Dallas Empire. With the CDL returning to Online play once again, OpTic will be hoping they can instantly find their groove, and get back to winning ways.

Paris Legion cannot be underestimated however. While they were 3-0’d by Seattle Surge on LAN, and their online performances have been inconsistent. They have performed when needed, and could take this game if OpTic doesn't show up. However, with it all on the line, we think OpTic will come out hot, and this could be a day of sweeps.
