The CDL Super Week action concludes tonight with three more games to round off the week. Here’s our preview alongside the odds.
Seattle Surge currently sit 1-3 in the group with their only win coming against the 0-5 London Royal Ravens. They have definitely struggled, but seem to have improved, taking the LA Thieves to a game five.
While they were the victims of the first reverse sweep of the season against Dallas Empire, New York have looked exceptional. Their pure aggression and pace has shocked teams, and seen them win 8 maps in a row before finally dropping one. While this ended in them losing 3-2, they still look great and this should be an easy match for them.
Florida Mutineers have struggled at the start of the 2021 CDL Season. They have been unable to close out Search and Destroy rounds, while also lacking the teamwork in other modes. They have the talent however, so it’s just a matter of time
OpTic Chicago have looked good. Not great, but good. Their 3-1 victories against Toronto Ultra and the Guerrillas booth weren't easy, and the Los Angeles Guerrillas handed them their first Hardpoint loss of the season. This could be a close match, however, OpTic are definitely favoured
The LA Thieves have looked great, and currently sit at the top of the league undefeated. While their matches have come close, they’ve clutched up with incredible plays such as TJHaly’s flawless SnD to win the map.
Dallas Empire proved they were not going down without a fight by completing the first reverse sweep of the season against the New York Subliners. This will be a tough match for both sides, if TJHaly and Temp can perform at the standard they have been, this might just be in the favour of the Thieves.
