Vikkstar's Warzone Showdown - Finals Preview

Charlie Cater

This week we’ll see the Final of Vikkstar’s Warzone Showdown, so let's take a look at the format, the teams and finally our prediction.

In the Final of Vikkstar’s Warzone Showdown there will be 9 teams entering compared to the usual 16. This is because the Final features all of the winning teams (2nd place from week 8) and Vikkstar’s own duo. With 9 teams, the usual 2v2 kill race format cannot be implemented. Instead the duos will compete in a 90 minute elimination race, with their best three games counting towards their total. Each game must be completed before the end of the 90 minutes, so if your game is halfway through when the time is up, that score will not count. The top 4 teams from the qualifying stage head through to the semi-final, where they will play the normal 2v2 kill race format however it will be over three games instead of the usual two. The Grand Final is the same, a three game kill race with the winner taking home $30,000.

Aydan & MikeRevolt

Vikkstar123 & Rated

HusKerrs & AverageJoeWo

TeePee & UnRational

Symfuhny & FaZe Bloo

Merk & Maven

WarsZ & Dreamzlv

FaZe Apex & Mutex

Kayzahr & Satyr

The Vikkstar Warzone Showdown Finals features the absolute best of the best and will be a very competitive tournament. The highest scoring teams entering the Final are Aydan & MikeRevolt, Vikkstar123 & Rated and HusKerrs & AverageJoeWo all putting up a score over 320, with the highest coming from Aydan’s team at 377. Following these three, the fourth highest scoring team is TeePee & UnRational with 249, so the top three are definitely favourites to take the tournament.

Here at Midnite we have Vikkstar123 and Rated as the favourites to win at 3.45, while HusKerrs and AverageJoeWo share the second favourite odds with Aydan and MikeRevolt at 4.60. These three teams are definitely the favourites to win, however there are some other teams who could definitely upset. Especially Symfuhny and FaZe Bloo. Symfuhny is known as one of the best players in the game, and his teammate Bloo has also won multiple Warzone tournaments before. At 6.00 to win, if you’re looking for slightly higher odds, Symfuhny and Bloo are your bet.

Vikkstar’s Warzone Showdown Finals start at 7PM BST on October 22nd and will likely go on for around 4 to 5 hours. You can watch the tournament on your favourite competitors Twitch or YouTube Channel.
